Pink sunglasses + hair to match

Pink sunglasses + hair to match

I just got these pink sunglasses in the mail from NORA NYC and was inspired to do a festival-themed look with matching hair :)

I achieved this shade by mixing De Lorenzo Nova Fusion shampoo in Cherry Red and Rosewood.

First I used an apple cider vinegar rinse on my hair to clarify it and give it a boost in brightness. You can also use a clarifying shampoo to very gently strip your hair so when you apply a color like pink it comes out true. When you dye your hair any bright color like pink or purple you have to bleach it first so it will show up; this is a safe, watered down version of that process.

The Nova Fusion shampoos are great because they give vibrant color that lasts for a few shampoos and fade seamlessly to your natural color. I mentioned in my color maintenance post I use this in Fire Red to maintain my auburn hair, but you can also use these for a fun pop of color like pink. This look is perfect for a festival like EDC or Electric Zoo, or just any time you want to temporarily change up your look.

You can find the sunglasses I'm wearing (Hollis) and other styles here. Use discount code "NewShades" at checkout for 10% off.

For my makeup, I used soft, cotton candy colors to play up the hair - a soft blue on my lids and lilac on my lower lash line and waterline. Try Urban Decay eyeshadow in Asphyxia and bareMinerals eyecolor in Blue Moon.
